Specific Knowledge, Skill, & Experience Required:

The qualified applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of recent aircraft maintenance experience in the repair and troubleshooting of aircraft airframe and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including, but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, mechanical components and aircraft structural repairs . Candidate applies technical knowledge of electrical, airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation. This candidate also applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturers’ manuals / specifications. Work at this level typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft electrical, mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components and to determine functionality of complex electrical systems. Additional job duties are required but not limited to: performs corrosion control, preflight and post-flight maintenance inspections, miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, tow and jack aircraft, and enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily. Candidate must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike, excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedules. This candidate will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records, and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft maintenance and/or modification efforts. Tools required.
Employment is dependent upon successful background security and drug screen.

*Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

*Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Job Qualifications

5 years experience on P-3 type airframe. Skilled in trouble shooting all electrical systems and/or subsystems for airframe and power plants. Experience in aircraft structural repair. Must have an Airframe and Power plants Certificate.

Job Skills

Ability to perform O and D level repairs. Thorough working knowledge of fuel quantity, environmental, and power plant systems test equipment. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
