• The Darkwing program is seeking a highly motivated network engineer to join our team.
• You will spearhead efforts and serve as the prime interface to coordinate and perform program network efforts and activities at our customer site.
• Weekend/evening or call in work occasionally required supporting 24X7 operations or maintenance activities.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Job Qualifications

•Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, LAN protocols
•Layer 2 and Layer 3 VLANS
•Troubleshooting network anomalies and failures
•Experience in planning of network system development activities
•Knowledge of configuration management methods and practices
•Applicant must be detailed oriented and have strong written, oral, and
analytical skills
•Ability to work independently or within a team environment
•Ability to work as part of a team to review/refine/execute project activities
•Good communications and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work well with customers
•Sec + (or higher) certified or the commitment to be certified within 6 months after start date.

Job Skills

•Working knowledge of Data Centers
•Experience with Windows, LINUX, DNS, DHCP
•Cisco, Juniper Network certs (Juniper experience preferred)
•Experience with BGPand OSPF routing protocols
•Recent hands-on experience in the areas of network integration,
verification, and validation of large, complex systems into enterprise
•Capable of representing the program in meetings to provide status of action items and issues
•Skills related to network design, diagnostics and optimization
•Knowledge of system engineering processes
